From Biz Cards to Homemade Ice Cream
Meet Pecan Jacks Founders – Tim and Ronnie Wyatt
Years of beach vacations kindled my love for pralines. Seeking that cherished flavor, I embarked on a quest to recreate it. Countless trials led me to craft the Southern Praline we offer today.
Later, vacationing in the Caribbean, Tim and I discovered a remarkable Rum, envisioning its magic in our pralines. Back home, we honed the art of infusing liquor, birthing Caribbean Rum and Maker’s Mark Bourbon flavors. Friends and family were delighted recipients.
Amid economic turbulence in 2008-2009, we turned to selling pralines at festivals, spawning a frenzy. Our famed brittles followed suit, enriched by family tweaks. Tim’s role grew, selling at wine festivals. In 2012, we embraced full-time candy entrepreneurship post-selling our printing business.
The ice cream saga began with a coastal dream. In 2016, riding to work, I proposed relocating to Santa Rosa Beach, adding ice cream to our repertoire. Tim’s incredulous response led to a challenge: could we truly make ice cream? With resolve, we drew from candy-making experience and ventured into ice cream.
In 2017, we landed in Santa Rosa Beach, unveiling our original store. Tim embraced ice cream-making, mastering Grandma’s recipes and inventing new twists. From Banana Pudding to liquored delights, we self-taught ourselves the art. Tim’s mastery has become our pride, while collaboration defines our flavors.
From pralines to coastal dreams, our journey is one of resilience and innovation, blending cherished tradition with audacious creativity.
